Crayven Securities, Incorporated, a subsidiary of the Crayven Corporation, was founded during the height of the Clan invasion in 3055 as a strictly-for-profit independent technologies exchange. Headquartered on Sheratan in the Chaos March, the neutral organization, unbound by any political ties, provided escrow, consultation, and research & design services to an exclusive list of clientele, from across the Inner Sphere and beyond. Within the walls of its fortified corporate headquarters, plans were laid, prototypes were tested, and secret technological exchanges between high-profile clients were carried out, all behind an iron curtain of such total anonymity that in many instances, none of the parties involved in an exchange were aware of each others' identities.

The company profited first and foremost by charging exorbitant service fees to clients participating in the technological exchange program, as well as those utilizing the company's advanced research and design facilities. Furthermore, Crayven Securities, Incorporated imposed a fifteen-percent surcharge on all technology transactions handled through the organization.

In the first three years of its division, the Securities division turned in record profits, allowing it to diversify and attract new patrons, while keeping existing clients. A business model was created that would allow the company to add intelligence gathering, mercenary operations, and black ops to the list of services available to its clients, and four new sub-organizations within Crayven Securities were created to fit this multifaceted plan. The company's non-discriminatory policy allowed it to operate freely, without the political restraints many of its competitors allowed themselves to be governed by, and garnered it both widespread popularity, as well as controversy, rom 3055 through 3081.

DEPARTMENTS

Crayven Intelligence - Surveillance, Espionage, and Intelligence Gathering

The largest of the Crayven Securities divisions, Intelligence's primary responsibility is the collection and analysis of tactical, technological, and political information pertaining to all of the Crayven Corporation's targets of interest, as well as those of its clients. Intelligence also communicates with Field Operations to assist in the coordination and execution tactical insertion strikes against targets specified by clientele, and against those which pose a potential threat to the Crayven Corporation, its subsidiaries, and its interests. Because the Intelligence division employs the very latest in cutting-edge intelligence-gathering technology, as well as a wide network of special agents trained in data gathering and the art of espionage, the division is consistently able to deliver quality intel at affordable prices.

Tactical / Field Operations - Mercenary Operations

Tactical operates on several levels. Its primary responsibility is to serve as a consulting forum for clientele seeking guidance in assessing, planning, and executing tactical operations against threat-class and opportunity targets, as well as those engaged in ongoing campaigns which require a high level of skilled planning and logistical coordination. Tactical also provides pro bono consulting services to the Crayven Corporation itself, and is responsible for the training of all operatives in the use of Crayven Corporation BattleTech hardware, as well as the MechCommanders who see to their well-being in the field. Field Operations serves as the active military branch of the division, and is responsible for carrying out operations assigned by Tactical.

Special Projects (S.W.O.R.D.) - Special Weapons and Operations Research & Development - Classified
