Glad to hear that you are finally getting some help with SSW. I wish that I could help but I lack the knowledge of coding to help nor the time to learn it. Can't wait for the next update. Keep up the good work.

Okay, SSW 0.5.36 is now out. Enjoy, let me know what you think.
Also, if you have an A4 printer, please let me know if the new paper size chooser works for you. Thanks.
EDIT: There were a few problems with this release as I did not contact Specter before release. In other words, my fault. I'll put out a new one tomorrow at 5:00pm PST.

Well LIS, I found out that SSW doesn't work on Windows 7. Ok... so at least it doesn't work on the beta of Windows 7.

Undoubtedly a problem with Java on Windows 7 Beta. Did you install the latest JRE? What kind of error or problem was there?

Well, right now the Windows 7 beta doesn't want to work with my wireless card built into my laptop. It says that there is no drivers installed for it. Unfortunately the dorms that I am staying in only has wireless (the dorms from last school year on the complete opposite end of the campus had both Ethernet and wireless). I don't really have any quick and easy way of getting access to the internet for my beta. I would most likely have to use an Ethernet cord to get internet access and be able to update it to see if it then works. I also have the problem of not knowing if my college's little program that controls access to the internet will be compatible with the Windows 7 beta. I have downloaded and transferred the latest SSW over to the beta's partition and tried to run it after extracting it. That is when it wouldn't work. The beta wanted to know what program I wanted to open SSW in or if I wanted to look on the internet to find something to open it with.
I'll try sending a message over to the school's IT department and ask if they don't mind me using one of the Ethernet ports to try updating the beta OS. If they don't let me or I forget to email them then I'll try it next weekend when I go back home for the weekend since my parents finally upgraded to high speed internet (or at least higher speed, anything is better than dial-up).
If you want I can give you the link and everything to download the open beta for Windows 7 so you can test SSW in Windows 7 if you want. It is free and legal, at least for the first 2.5 million people. The beta will stop working after August 1st though.

I've already downloaded both the 32 bit and 64 bit ISO of Windows 7 for testing at work (we're a software company), but I have yet toi install them (need to get a test machine approved).
From what you've described, you don't have the JRE installed, since Windows should automagically run a Jar file from double-click using the JRE. If you have the JRE installed, try running SSW from the command line: "java -jar SSW.jar" should open it.

Automagically again? I think you're doing that on purpose to see if we're paying attention... =)

I just like the word.
0.5.39 is now out, a lot of bugfixes, some new equipment, and a new feature or two. I've had a busy few days and I finally got around to posting a new build.
From now on, we're going to try for a build every Monday night.

I think there is a bug. The Era/Tech Base buttons do not work any longer: you can select the Clans all the time and for all eras, the timeframe is 2801-3050 (but the production year verification is still working).
CASE is also no longer available and the Ferro-Fibrous calculations are wrong for the Inner Sphere (14 tons of FF armour is 14*16*1.12=250 and not 263).

The timeframe problems seem not to be universal, as I'm not having them. I've also checked for the CASE and FF problems he mentioned and they're both working fine for me.
However, I'm unable to find the Wolverines' Enhanced PPC mentioned in the changelog.

Unfortunately I don't see any of those issues...
