Im at a loss here. I got SSW about a week ago. Its installed on both my Desktop and Laptop, both of which run the same OS and version Java. It works fine on my Laptop, and worked on my Desktop up until today when it seems to have decided it no longer wants to go past popping up the skunk logo. It just sits there. Doesnt generate a log, nothing. When I try to use the command prompt it says "Unable to access jarfile ssw.jar" . I do have the file unzipped. Any ideas on how to fix this?

Fabrizo, what OS are you running? If you are running Windows, ensure that the path to java.exe is in your PATH environment variable. Where is the program installed? You may want to try putting it in a directory that has no spaces in the name, we've had some problems dealing with that.

If all that fails, PM me with the path to SSW.jar on your computer and I'll prepare a batch file for you.

For those of us in the Northwest U.S. things have slowed down. Summer is here and we're all staring at that big orange globe in the sky, wondering "Where in the hell did that come from?" However, we're still on the case.

SSW 0.6.07 is now out.

Lots of bug fixes, some new features and tweaks to the GUI, plus some equipment (thanks Maelwys!). Enjoy!

Note to Fabrizo: This should fix the issue you are having. Please let me know how that goes.

+ Added
- You can now shift splittable items around in their location without unallocating.
- Added index file output to MechList for Open dialog use
- Added ability to refresh/reload and ignore the indexing file.
- Added ability to select multiple items in the equipment list
- You can use shift- and ctrl-click to do this
- Added ability to use the delete key on multiple items in the Equipment list
- Maelwys added some more equipment, like Boosted and Emergency C3 systems

+ Changed
- Fixed an error where a directory with no files causes a lock-up on load.
- Fixed Force loading into dialog not refreshing the list
- Fixed Force dialog Unit printing to include Mechwarrior and G/P skills
- Removed pre-loading from Open dialog to increase initial load speed

20 pages? Wow. I just upgraded to a newer version of the SSW, downloaded the Master 'Mech file and went on a printing binge at work. My new players especially like that 'Mech images can now be printed on the record sheet. That has been a HUGE help. No more of, "wait, which 'Mech is this one again?"

Outfreakinstanding work!

Thank you guys! Great to hear that it is so useful. But don't forget the efforts of Skyhigh and Arcangel. Both have made some major and needed additions to the program.

If you do a lot of game setup/printing you might also want to check out my Battletech Force Balancer program which is made to help setup opposing forces and balance them (all using the SSW files that you already have). You can straight print all of them from there.

Skyhigh - Just downloaded the BFB for some games I'll be running this weekend. I'm already impressed with the amount of math I now will be able to refrain from doing. :)

Sweet! Glad you like it, I use it for all of my game setups these days and I'm working on adding some more features for easy unit selection and scenario setup too.

If you find anything to request or report I have a thread going on CBT at http://www.classicbattletech.com/forums/index.php/topic,50481.new;topicseen#new
