Well aside from the sheer joy that Solaris7 brings you on a daily basis...there are a number of reasons why donating is a great thing to do:

The server hosting itself costs me $60/mo out of my pocket.
The (almost) 10 years I have spent coding and updating and maintaining the site.

but that's just the reasons why I have added google ads and the donate button itself to the site, there are actual BENEFITS that you get for donating to the site! For any donation @ $20 USD or more I will also offer the following:

Your name will be added to the public list of donators here on this page
Your file space will go from a 10MB limit to 20MB
Your account will not expire automatically (accounts that are not active for 6 months are no longer displayed on the site)
You will be allowed to request a "feature" that you have always wanted on the site (within reason of course)
You will receive a hefty deposit into your Solaris7 Bank Account (I swear it will be worth something some day!)

For any donation @ $40 USD I will add the following to the above list:

You will receive a Solaris7.com e-mail address of <Callsign>@Solaris7.com that will forward to your existing e-mail address.
Your file space will increase again to 30MB
