Overview:
One of the Star League's prized Battlmechs and a mainstay of Comstar's guarded
arsennal up to the Battle of Tukayyid, the Crab is a powerful medium weight
weapons platform that the Spirit Legion actually traded with Comstar for.
Comstar, in return, considering their desperation in the midst of the Jihad,
took the first offer the Legion gave them. A Star of the Legion
still-experimental Omnimechs codenamed "Black Star". The Legion could barely
afford the R & D, muchless the production costs of such a new design, but
Comstar remained optimisitic about cooperating with the Spirit Legion with the
design's construction.  However, the Crab IIC-SL turned out to be a terrific
bargain for the Legion, refitting the design with Clan Heavy-grade large lasers
as it's primary weapons, backing those up with a single ER medium laser and
small pulse laser, in addition to valuable equipment such as an ECM suite,
active probe and anti-missile system. This is truly an improvement on the
classic Star League design.


Capabilities:
The Crab IIC-SL excels at the traditional Crab's roles of a multi-striker and
long duration mission specialist. The enhanced electronics package developed by
Clan scientists and tachnicians enhances the venerable unit's survivability and
proves a nasty surprise for the enemy.


Deployment:
More and more commonly found throughout the majority of the Spirit Legion's
forces, especially those of it's still un named special operations Cluster,
which is becoming the home of the elite of the elite of battle-hardened Spirit
Legion warriors.


Variants:
The Crab IIC-SL has become a testbed for the basis of new relatively
inexpensive Omnimechs. The armpods can easily by taken off and replaced with
any convenient, though energy-based weapon system available. ER PPCs, large
pulse lasers, or even standard ER large lasers, at the sake of armor, engine
and/or electronics of course.

Too slow for something mounting an XL engine. This means it is costly, easy to catch, and easy to kill all at the same time. Not a good mix.

Thanks to the XL engine, you can put electronics in the Crab frame but I do not think that this is worth the increased price and fragility.
If you had increased the ground speed, it would be different.

Overview
Redesigned in order to be a perfect match for the Legion's Crab IIC as well as act independently if necessary. Ironically, this is actually very close to what the original SLDF had in mind for their own Starslayers. The Diamond Sharks and thier co-owners/"allies" the Spirit Legion, have arranged for this particular design modification to be built by both parties. Strangely enough the heavy laser version (showcased here) is only primarily seen in the Diamond Shark touman. The Legion is more fond of using the dual-ER large laser variant, or an ER PPC version which strips out the SRM pack and most of the lasers.


Capabilities
With 5 jump jets, and enhanced Clan weaponry and armor, the new Starslayer is more than a match for similar opponents and a perfect mate to the Crab IIC with the Crab's heavy lasers providing close range punch and the Starslayer covering with either dual ER large lasers or an ER PPC (depending on the version). The pulse lasers replace the original's standard mediums and provide a much-needed close range punch, and assist with closer range light vehicles and armored infantry.


Known Variants
Two main variants exist, used almost exclusively by the Spirit Legion. One mounts twin ER large lasers, removing the one heavy laser from the chassis. The other, the IIC-SL-3, mounts an ER PPC. In order to mount this weapon, both large lasers are stripped out as well as the SRM pack.

Overview
Light Battlemechs are becoming very common in the Spirit Legion, as more and more of the expensive and hard to replace heavy and assault designs slowly but surely fall to the Blakists.


Light 'mechs, though not nearly as durable or resistant as their heavier brothers, are of course, much cheaper and easier to replace, even for the Spirit Legion, who still has a plethora of Clan technology in their numerous supply caches and storage facilities in the Drako system, plus their increasingly friendly trading relationship with Clan Diamond Shark (who are widely known to hate mercenaries, oddly enough, yet make exception for the Spirit Legion, most likely due to the Legion's Clan ties). Thus the Star League-era HSR-200D Hussar was reborn, as the HSR-IIC-SL. At first glance, very little, if nothing, has changed. The Battlemech's profile remains essentially, the same. Even the original main weapon, the ER large laser, is still in place. Once you thoroughly examine the machine though, it's a rather different animal.

Indeed, the same classic Hussar profile is intact, and the single ER large laser is in place as well. However, the Star League-era Newhart Corp. large laser has been replaced with a much lore advanced Clan model, Type IV ER large laser. The new Hussar also sports an ECM suite, further assisting the little 'mech in it's sniping/picket role. An anti-missile system and an active probe complements the "hunter-killer" aspect of the IIC-SL Hussar.


Capabilities
Born as a sniper more than anything else, the revamped Hussar is an excellent successor to it's Star League cousin. The Spirit Legion takes great pride in continuing Alexandr KErensky's SLDF tactics by commonly dropping a full (in the Legion's case) Star of these Battlemechs behind enemy lines to harass and wreck havoc.


Deployment
Predominantly found in Legion offensive operations as early as their Homeworld Conflict, bailing out their parent Clan Blood Spirit from the Star Adder assault, where numerous Hussars were lost, amidst the chaotic and cutthroat fighting on the Hellish and barren wastlands that were the battlefields of York.


Known Variants
One Field modification variant of the Hussar replaces much of the equipment, with the exception of the ECM suite oftentimes, with a couple standard SRM twin-packs.This is common enough that the design is known as the HSR-IIC-SL-2.

There are many other variants but exact composition of these is unknown.

You specialised this design even more but thanks to the use of the Clan tech, it should shine in most duels and fights as long as its Warrior remember not to get too close.
The AMS is a nice addition.

Overview
Like so many Panthers, the PNT-IIC-SL has a very reliable weapons package. An Extended Range Particle Projection Cannon. Unlike many Panthers, this version is exclusive of the Spirit Legion mercenaries, and trades the venerable SRM 4 pack, for a more Clanlike approach: the Advanced Tactical Missile system. An ATM-3 pack is the new Panther's only backup weapon, yet with two tons of High Explosive warheads, it hardly needs any other system, with the ER PPC providing long range support.




Capabilities
Much more agile and manuverable than the Panthers of old, the IIC-SL makes use of a standard Fusion engine, standard armor and endo steel structure. A mix of the old and new, the PNT-IIC-SL is becoming the 1st Retribution Renegades favorite scout and support 'mech.

Armed with a potent electronics package as well, this Panther, unlike any other is actually capable beating the Blakists at their own game more often then most.
 

It's standard engine and durable armor make it that much harder to kill as well, and the endo steel provides the last line of defense.

Battle History
Performed well against the Blakists in various resource raids against the Protectorate. Acted as part of diversionary efforts with the rest of the Renegades in Devlin Stone's coalition.


Deployment
Deployed with the 1st Retribution Renegades and awaiting deployment with the 2nd Cluster as well.


Known Variants
None are yet planned given the resources at the Legion's disposal. They had to open their last supply caches just to upgrade the Panther to this state. They are working on capturing several Blakist PNT-14S models, with snub-nose PPC and enhanced booster technology.

The Panther was always 4/6/4 as is your upgrade.

The firepower is slightly better thanks to the advanced targeting system and the use of electronic warfare devices is also a strong point in its favour.

Overview
Designed by the Capallen Confederation and soon spread throughout the Inner Sphere, what the Spirit Legion did to the classic RVN3L Raven scout 'mech is incredible. Still used as a premiere scout unit, the RVN-IIC-SL has everything a good scout Battlemech needs, including more than decent defensive armament and over six tons of Clan-forged Ferro Fibrous armor alloy, defenses are improved even further to include an anti missile system.

Equipment and electronic counter measures have been increased and expanded upon, including a searchlight to assist in allied S & R operations.

The Legion is in the process of preparing an operation to acquire the Capallan Confederation's Stealth armor, the only element that would the Raven's scout and urban ambush tactics unparralled.


Capabilities
Scout, ambush, evasion, and hit & run in addition to stealth recon roles. The Raven was deadly when the Capallan Confederation introduced it at the end of the Third Succession War, now that the Spirit Legion has perfected the design, although on a limited basis, it is down right lethal in the shadows.


Deployment
Commonly deployed with the Spirit Legion's special oerations contingent, the Ravens in this unit often lie in wait in heavily urban areas, accompanied by shutdown Firestarter IIC-SLs, Axmen IIC-SLs, other urban-intensive Battlemechs and Elemental units who power up as the Ravens lure the unsuspecting opponents (in this case the Word of Blake) in to the trap, while being flanked by several Stars of Hussar IIC-SLs with active ECM jammers.


Known Variants
Several ad-hoc variants exist, as with many IIC-SL units in the Legion. One in particular strips off all offensive weapons and a portion of the Raven's equipment suite, to mount an ultra class autocannon. However, this is not preferred by most Raven pilots, and only resorted to when or if the Raven's delicate electronics package is damaged beyond repair.

Rather straight forward upgrade of the Raven.
It lacks the ammo needed for the Remote Sensor Dispenser.
