Overview
Production of the Eisenkreuz ("Iron Cross") was started in secret by Robertson Mechworks in the beginning of 3070 and the 'mech provided a rude surprise to the invading Blakists later that same year. Part standard battlemech, part omnimech, the Eisenkreuz was an experimentation with omnitechnology meant to explore the efficiency of limited omni-capabilities on otherwise ordinary 'mechs. The program was a rousing success and the 'mech gained fame in the Bolan Province as panicked Militia reports and battlevids (see below) were leaked to boost LAAF morale. Although RMW ceased production in 3074 because of the massive financial costs associated with making such a large omnimech, limited numbers continue to wreak havoc on New Kyoto as part of RMW's security forces as well as among a handful of elite LAAF units.

Capabilities
The Eisenkreuz weighs a full 100 tons and shares characteristics with the Annihilator (on which the Primary configuration is obviously based) and Fafnir with it's bulky chassis and hunched-over profile. The most notable feature of the 'mech is that over twenty tons of weaponry are fixed to the chassis, providing as basis of firepower upon which the pilot or unit commander can expand. Two LB-10X autocannons and two standard Medium Lasers are locked into the torso cavities, although the LBX are without fixed ammunition bins despite the hard-mounting of CASE. Engineers felt that pilots could add as much ammunition as they saw fit, allowing the flexibility of "short-loads" for quick engagements or the use of large bins for assault and seige missions. Over seventeen tons of armor protect the Eisenkreuz and, while not maximum for it's class, is more then enough to deflect even the heaviest of battlefield weaponry.

With thirty two tons of pod space available despite the hard mounting of the heavy autocannons, the Primary variant simply mounts two more LB-10X rifles as well as two more medium lasers. Outfitted with a full eight tons of ammunition, the Prime can choose between standard or cluster shot. The pilot can blow holes in enemy armor and then switch to cluster ammunition and deal massive damage to sensitive internal components.

The A and C variants share a similar concept, carrying Rotary Autocanons and Light Gauss Rifles respectively. The A carries a Guardian ECM suite as well, making it a brutal ambusher as well as nearly immune to the majority of advanced targeting systems. The C conversely can reach out to well over 700 meters, damaging opponents before they can even return fire.

The B and D configuration varry significantly from the base concept, with the B mounting two LRM-20's with slaved Artemis IV fire control systems. This model can not only provide highly accurate fire support to assault formations, but the hardmounted LBX canons again provide a stopping power that make approaching this version a dangerouse gamble. The D, armed with twin Heavy PPC's and an electronics suite is more intended as a commander's mech then a front line brawler. The HPPC's provide staggering knock-down power when combined with the LBX autocannons and provide the D with firepower even after the ammo bins run dry. Four additional heat sinks help keep the heat within reason, although repeated Alpha strikes can spike the heat just the same as any other mech.

Battle History
The Eisenkreuz menaced Word of Blake formations (as well as errant FWLM raiders) for over three years until the Word finally decided to leave New Kyoto for good in 3073. Great lengths were taken to hide the source of the 'mech, leading the Blakists to beleive that RMW was somehow obtaining support from off-planet. This led to increased paranoia on the part of the local Militia commander, one Precentor Nicholas Karger. Although the Word was succesful in man-handling Doering Electronics in 3072, RMW did manage to protect the major cities as well as RAMTech and Kyoto College, thanks in no small part to the hulking EKZ.

Deployment
RMW's securty forces deploy the Eisenkreuz almost exclusively, with well over a dozen on hand. However, after Hesperus II was freed from Blakist oppression in 3074 a handful of the 'mech were spotted in Defiance Industries own security forces. Conjecture says that the 'mech may have been given to DefHes in a technology exchange or similar agreement.

[ Intercepted intelligence report from the Precentor XIV Nicholas Karger, CO Bad Moon III-gamma, 2nd Division stationed on New Kyoto; to Precentor XI John Christopher, CO 2nd Division on November 7th, 3070 ]

Precentor XI Christopher,
I hope this report finds you in good health, Precentor, and that the peace of Blake is with you. I wish I could say as much for our operations here. With the monsoon season in full effect and resistance from the populace still strong, the morale of my men has taken a beating. Those are trivial matters that can be easily remedied, however, when compared to the continual skirmishing and raiding that has been carried out not only by the local militia but also by the security forces of Robertson Mechworks. They have resisted every push we have made towards their factories (as well as those towards RAMTech and Doering Electronics) and have continued to fly in the face of our authority over this system. They have even managed to breach the naval blockade on over a dozen occasions, a fact made possible by the lack of heavy naval assets at my disposal. Most alarming however is that they continue to produce battlemechs at a predigious rate, quickly recouping their losses while I am forced to wait for months for simple resupply. I have included in this report our most recent intelligence on their newest production model, apparently dubbed the Eizenkreuz, spotted just a week ago during one of their ambushes on our recon patrols which seem to have become a part of everday life.

Needless to say Precentor, I have to again request that naval assets as well as nuclear weaponry be assigned to my sector, otherwise I fear we may loose this system to a simple war of attrition. While we hold strong our intial gains, we have been unable to gain control of additional territory and ventures beyond our AO often end in disaster. I will need signifigant reinforcement if I am to take this system in time for Phase VI.

May Blake guide our way,
Precentor XIV Karger

[ ROM Overview Report, Incident on 10/30/70, New Kyoto ]

First engaged during Patrol XXVII on October 30th, 3070, a new 100 ton assault 'mech in concert with three RMW Security Forces heavy 'mechs ambushed and destroyed over half of a medium recon Level II before the unit could retreat. Our sources have pegged the 'mech as being named the Eisenkreuz, or "Iron Cross", by it's designers and it is apparently based heavily off of the Wolf's Dragoons own Annihilator. Footage from two seperate encounters verify that the 'mech is armed almost exactly as the Dragoon 'mech but apparently carries much more armor and is signifigantly more mobile. Although many militaries have made attempts to copy the famous Annihilator, RMW appears to be the first to succeed on any signifigant level.

First hand accounts state that the model carrying medium autocanon is not the only version of this 'mech being deployed. Patrol XXVII encountered a model with Rotary Autocannons, and a model with LRM launchers provided support during one of the more signifigant engagements with RMW forces. Armor is speculated to be at near maximum levels although sensor readings from our limited contact verify that it does not carry more then 18 tons. The mobility performance combined with the heavy weaponry and armor makes it extremely likely that the 'mech utilizes an Extra Light Engine, a fact that should be communicated to all Militia 'Mechwarriors as a possible weakness.

[ Addendum, Report on Patrol XXVII; first hand account by Adept IV Johnston, II-delta, November 5th, 3070 ]

Adept: Our Level II assaulted a local warehouse district that intel said was being used by the Lyran militia and everything was going pretty smoothly when a lance of enemy 'mechs popped out from a couple of buildings we had just passed.

Interviewer: Why did you not pick them up when you first passed by?

Adept: I'm not sure, our Beagles didn't even pick up any interference or anything. We had Shawn...er, Adpet Green, running point in his Mongoose and he didn't say a word. Not until it was too late, that is...

Interviewer: Did you see any markings on the enemy battlemechs?

Adept: They were a royal blue with a dark red trim, the markings of those factory workers, Robinson Mechworks I think...

Interviewer: Robertson Mechworks, yes. Go on.

Adept: Well, they didn't have any real markings other then a few numbers like "8", "4", "3" and so on. We knew who they were, though, they've been harrassing us nonstop since we took Springston. Precentor Clark wheeled around his Grim Reaper and got nearly knocked over by a Storm that had decided to occupy the same spot he was headed to. Shawn and I, we immediately moved to flank them, we really thought we could take them. It looked like the Storm was the heaviest they had and there was six of us. I was just comming around one of the buildings on their left when I ran face to face into the biggest monstrosity I've ever seen. I mean, it was HUGE. I've seen our Vanquishers, and it was every bit as big, and being up close and personal with it made it that much bigger.

Interviewer: Did you recognize the model?

Adept: No way, I'd remember if I'd ever seen something like that.

Interviewer: Could you tell what it was armed with?

Adept: Well, I know for a fact it had two of those Rapid Autocannons the Davions are so fond of, one in each arm, as well as two MORE big barrells of Blake-know's-what. It leveled the damn things at me and I panicked and ejected. When I looked down, I saw my poor Lightray was a pile of smoldering metal and myomer. As far as the barrells over the shoulders, I can only assume were heavy autocannon or, knowing those factory boys, probably Gauss Rifles. They sure like to use those, that's for sure.

Interviewer: Are there any other observations you would like to add?

Adept: No, not really. I was lucky to get out of there. I found out the hard way that they had battle armor all over the place too, almost got spotted half a dozen times. I hid in the basement of one of the warehouses for over a day before I felt sure enough to come out.

Interviewer: Were you able to witness any more of the battle?

Adept: By the time I landed and got my bearings that monster had already moved away. I wasn't going to stick around any longer then necessary, so I started heading back towards our line as quickly as possible. I did catch a few glimpses of the battle, but between running for my life and running accross their damnable battle armor, I don't really recall a whole lot.

Interviewer: Thank you for your time Adept. The Precentor here will escort you down to debriefing, follow him.

Adept: I thought this was the debriefing...

Interviewer: Precentor?

Unknown: Come this way, Adept.

[ Excerpt, ROM Field Report, New Kyoto, Entry 139ZA ]

Three variants of the 100 ton BattleMech fielded by Robertson Mechworks Security have been spotted in open combat, with a possible fourth observed via orbital monitoring. The first seems to be the base model and is armed with four LBX class medium autocannons supported in turn by a bracket of medium lasers. Although this model was not the first spotted, it is the most numerous. A second was engaged by Patrol XXVII and has been verified via eyewhitnesses and gun camera footage to replace the arm-mounted LBX autocannons with Rotary Autocannon, presumably fed with several tons of ammunition. The third participated in the assault on Area 51Z, again replacing the arm mounted LBX with twin heavy LRM launchers for fire support. Finally, a fourth possible variant was identified when the dropship Enlightened Shield conducted orbital reconnaissance over the Robertson Mechworks factories. The weapons barrels are noticably smaller and longer then previously seen, and it is speculated that this variant likely carries Light Gauss Rifles. Given that weaponry mounted in the torso has not been changed in any evident manner, it is the opinion that the 'mech may be Omni-capable or at the very least easily configured by a field supply or repair base.

Man O' Man this think is a monster! It puts a hold on my Saturn for starters. I think that i am going to have to take that old mech back to the drowing board in order to compet. Great work MajorTom love it and i am going to take it for my archives.

The Lyran's made a better damn Annhiliator...
Awesome, I must say- I absolutely love it (thought it looks to me like a MWA Malice)

Impressive fluff (a future source of inspiration ), good pic and a really good assault 'Mech.
It has nearly everything an Assault 'Mech is supposed to have and the suspense around its Omni capacity just adds to its aura.
Great job.

The fluff alone is a great bit here and I enjoyed the battle report formats.
Armament is just amazing as well, especially the modifications.
Nicely done.

OOOHHH! That is some sweet fluff! Bravo! Excellent work! The fact that we don't know if this is an omni is even better! Those four cannons are just plain mean! As much as I hate facing LBX guns, they are damned effective! Excellent work MT, this just might be my favorite 'Mech you've made so far!

11/28/2006 5  Samak
Big, Nasty, and well armoured I like it. Not only does it remind me of an Annihilator, but also of my own Psychosis. I would really hate to close with this thing with any 'Mech less than an assault. The fluff is original, sounds like a good start for a short story. My only complaint is that even with 8 tons of ammo, its going to eat through it rather fast, although I doubt anything will be left standing that long. Great job

Overview
With Hesperus II under Word of Blake occupation, Defiance Industries was scrambling to meet the demands of the LAAF, a difficult proposition given the small size of their remaining plant on Furillo. Desperate, they approached several smaller firms with partnership offers, allowing these companies to produce famous designs such as the Atlas and Berserker while keeping the money flowing into Defiance's coffers. One of these companies, surprisingly, was Robertson Mechworks, who had only a few years before hand gained the production rights to the Zeus through the Lyran government shortly after Hesperus fell. Experts expected that Defiance to hold a bitter grudge for such a young company "stealing" their pride and joy, but the most recent effort from RMW has proven that past transgressions are quickly forgiven in the time of war. Engineers from Defiance Engineers had been spotted at RMW's New Kyoto facility for well over a year, and on February 21st of 3073 the Inner Sphere found out why as the brand new FNR-6S Fafnir was revealed.

Capabilities
The FNR-5 Fafnir is a known and feared quantity, it's massive Hammerfist Heavy Gauss Rifles daring the brave or foolhardy to come within range. Despite being less than 15 years old it has become as identified with the LAAF as the 300 year old Zeus. That said, the FNR-6S Fafnir is everything the FNR-5 is and then some, carrying not only improved firepower but improved safety and longevity thanks to the combined efforts of Robertson Mechworks and Defiance Industries.

For starters, the FNR-6S is visually different from it's progenitor, with a more squat "tank on legs" look that many feel is much more menacing. The arm brackets and gauss coulings have been reconfigured and beefed up, and the cockpit has been moved onto the "nose" of the mech giving the pilot a much different view of the battlefield then that of the FNR-5. The use of C.A.S.E. around the gauss rifles has resulted in the elongation of the torso to help deflect the blast should the rifles be critically damaged, and the leg structure has been rearranged to help alleive some of the ammunition feed problems that were reported with the older model.

As different as it looks however, the real change is in at the heart of the Fafnir. Defiance Industries, never one to rest on their laurels when it came to making a profit, had been tinkering with improving the massive Heavy Gauss Rifle since it's debut. Unsatisfied with it's marked decrease in hitting power at longer ranges, years of redesign and engineering finally resulted in a weapon that, while heavier still, had steady firepower and truely fulfilled the original promise of the Heavy Gauss Rifle. Two of these Improved Heavy Gauss Rifles (nicknamed "Sledgehammers") replace the stock HGRs of the FNR-5 and remove the one major fault of an already deadly mech. Only the hardest armor can withstand the brutal assault of these two canons and lighter 'mechs can easily be destroyed by just one. The secondary weaponry remaing largly unchanged, although the Pulse lasers of the FNR-5 are replaced by two more RAMTech 1500Z's in order to save weight.

Deployment
The new Fafnir is just now being deployed to the elite units of the LAAF, with RMW able to produce one overy 6 weeks. After Devlin Stone helped finally remove the Word's occupation of Hesperus II, Defiance Industries set about upgrading their Fafnir lines as well, and now produce them at a staggering rate. It is only a matter of time before the FNR-5 is replaced en-masse by the FNR-6S (although it is unlikely that it will ever be relegated to 2nd line or militia status).

Overview
The favorite assault mech of the Lyran Alliance/Commonwealth for nearly 600 years, the Zeus serves in every major unit within the LAAF. Literally hundreds are in service throughout the Alliance and abroad, and so when Hesperus II fell to the Word of Blake Militia, the High Command immediately put the call out to Lyran companies to pick up production of not only spare parts for the mech, but for the mech itself while Hesperus was occupied. Defiance Industries protested in the extreme, stating that they could pick up production at their Furrillo plant, but given the situation on Tharkad, Skye, and Hesperus itself, the LAAF all but ignored them. Eventually, the contract fell to Robertson Mechworks, a trusted though young company. RMW's New Kyoto location made it ideal with local laser and electronics production companies (RAMTech and Doering Electronics, respectively), reducing the need to import components and enabling swifter production of the 'mech. In a concession to Defiance Industries, RMW will produce Defiance's latest model ZEU-9T, but will also produce their own new model, the ZEU-9R, alongside it.

Capabilities
When RMW engineers received the blueprints for the classic Zeus, they new exactly what they wanted to acheive. The most startling of changes made was the use of the massive Pitban 400 XL engine which can push the mech at speed exceeding 80 kph. The large engine required a redesign of the Zeus's entire torso cavity, which itself resulted in cosmetic differences that make the 9R fairly easy to differentiate from it's predescessors. New pilots, used to the Zeus's plodding but steady movements, are floored by the mech's newfound mobility and have even described the mech as " surprisingly nimble". The only disadvantage of the Pitban 400 is its enourmouse physical size, making it vulnerable to combat damage. Most feel that the tradeoff of making an assault mech as agile as many medium mechs was well worth the extra risk, however.

To protect the new Zeus, thirteen tons of Ferro Fibrouse were used, providing the same coverage as well over fourteen tons. Most of the armor was laid over the mech's torso to protect the fragile engine and inner workings, although the arms and legs receive signifigant protection as well. The use of advanced armor also contributed in changing the 9R model's exterior appearance, with sharper angles and a more robust upper chest the most notable difference.

Not wanting to further upset Defiance Industries nor the legions of Zeus pilots, RMW kept the remaining aspects of the 'mech "as is", with only minor modifications. The traditional weaponry loadout of the Zeus remained unchanged, the exception being the movement of the LRM ammo bin to the arm with the launcher. This move allowed the removal of the complicated feed system that ran through the Zeus's right shoulder and occassionaly caused jamming problems. The torso CASE system was left in place, however, to prevent the destruction of the 'mech should the ammo bin explode, a definate plus in the mind of any pilot.

The PPC and Large Laser are both extended range models, although they are not the same models used on the Defiance-produced Zeus. The loss of Hesperus cut off the supply of Defiance 1001 ER PPC's and no other company in the Alliance produced the advanced weapon, so RMW commissioned the New Earth Trading Company to upgrade their Parti-Kill Heavy Cannon model. The new Parti-Kill Advanced Cannon was designed specifically for use in the ZEU-9R and carries additional shielding to prevent the interferance that kept PPC's from being mounted on the Zeus before the 3050's. Because the Parti-Kill Advanced is a new design and stockpiles have yet to be built up, stores of the older Defiance 1001 are being used until NETC can get it's production numbers up to meet demand. The Large ER Laser, in this case a RAMTech 1200X produced locally by RAMTech Industries rather then the Cyclops XII, also required modification to fit in it's assigned location. Thankfully, the fiberoptic technology that was once unique to the Cyclops laser has been spread throughout the Inner Sphere since the discovery of the Helm core and changes to the RAMTech laser were fairly easy.

Finally, both the targeting and communications suites have been changed due to the loss of production facilities, this time the TarHes Industries plant on Tharkad. Again turning to a local producer, Doering Electronics, the ZEU-9R received O/P series systems for it's targeting and communications needs. In wide spread use by RMW's own designs, the O/P 3000 COMSET and O/P 1500 ARB are proven models that, while noticably different from the TarHes systems, are fully functional and reliable even in severe conditions.

Deployment
Robertson Mechworks has dedicated two of their five main production lines to producing the new ZEU-9R and has set production records with a new Zeus walking out of the factory every two weeks. Possible delays may arise out of the lack of ER PPC's from the New Earth Trading Company, who has scrambled to re-tool their factory to meet the demand, and from the time required to ship the Coventry Star Fire LRM from accross the realm. Stockpiles of the Coventry LRM and Defiance 1001 ER PPC have kept production moving, but the rapid pace is quickly deminishing stores.

Sales are not open to mercenaries nor foreign militaries, so the entire production compliment has been sent to the reeling LAAF. Thus far, the Royal Guards have received the bulk of Zeus's (both 9R and 9T) produced at RMW, with select Lyran Guard units receiving them also. Feedback has been immensly posotive, but some pilots have complained about the use of different systems both in weaponry and electronics. These complaints are few though and most chalk them up to 'mechwarriors who are set in their ways and resistant to change.

400 engines are just too heavy. If you drop this 'mech down to 75 tons you save enough weight to switch to maximum standard armor and an extra a-pod. But since you work with what you have, it's a good design.

By the way, it is really good fluff.

Faster but a little more vulnerable than the 9T and packing a more usable punch (thanks to its slightly better heat management).
I would say that it is comparable to the 9T, although I would prefer the 9R mostly because of its increased speed (when you are the Lyran Alliance, you can afford to pay for quality).
Nice job and nice fluff (keeping in touch with the latest development of the Jihad ).

Mech is a great 80 ton fast mech, 5/8 with a decient amount of fire power love it////

Well frickin BEJESUS! That's pretty friggin nice Major Tom! Maybe it's because I'm working on my own Lyran mech based on Furillo, utilizing the base chassis of the Zeus, that I like this so much. Maybe it's because it's an 80 tonner that runs at more than 80 kph! No matter what, I like this variant! Awesome job! Um...that XL is gonna get you in trouble though. Big target if you know what I mean! No matter, good fluff, mean machine!

Overview
The second Mech produced by the (then) young Robertson MechWorks, the DEST-2A Destroyer has become a houshold name since it's first deployment in 3058. Primarily gaining fame as a result of it's deployment and high rate of success with Task Force Serpent, it is easily one of the most heavily armed heavy Mechs available to Inner Sphere militaries. Pilots have routinely reported it's ability to severely cripple or destroy equivelant Clan heavy Mechs, and demand for the Mech keeps the lines at RMW busy 24/7.

With the Blakist occupation of RMW's homeworld, New Kyoto, the Destroyer has found itself matched up against WoB Militia heavies such as the Legacy, Toyama, and White Flame. Engagements so far have proven the Destroyer to be as deadly as ever, especially in the hands of the elite RMW security forces. Several videos have leaked out of entire lances of Destroyers ambushing and destroying Militia Level II's. So far, RMW security forces in general have fought the Militia to a standstill but many fear it is only a matter of time before the Word uses nuclear weapons to "resolve" the conflict.

Capabilities
Designed with firepower as the primary goal, the Destroyer carries two Grizzard model 210 Gauss Rifles for it's main punch. Nestled on each shoulder and supplied by four tons of ammo, the highly accurate rifles can punch through even the heaviest armor in less then 20 seconds. The only drawback to these massive weapons are their vulnerability to enemy fire, especially considering that the XL engine casing butts directly against them. Engineers armored the cowlings as well as possible to protect the rifles, giving the side torsos armor nearly equivelant to that of the center torso. Although not 100% foolproof, this extra protection has proven sufficient in most cases.

The Destroyer also carries a single RAMTech 1200X Large ER Laser and twin RAMTech 800 Medium Lasers, also produced on New Kyoto by RAMTech Inc. Providing backup to the Gauss Rifles, the RAMTechs are deadly in their own right and allow the pilot to engage smaller or lighter targets without wasting Gauss ammo. Since the advent of ER Medium Lasers in the early 3060's, buyers have had the option of replacing the 800's with the RAMTech 1500Z ER model but production models still carry the older standard type.

A full twelve and a half tons of armor protect the Destroyer and, as mentioned, are applied mostly to the torso to protect both the fragile XL engine as well as the massive Gauss Rifles. Tough enough to withstand an astonishing ammount of punishment, the Destroyer is remarkably survivable despite the volatile nature of it's main weapons.

The Destroyer's O/P 1500 ARB Targeting System has been specially modified by Doering Electronics for the 'mechs needs. With top of the line long range sensor circuits in place of the standard motherboard, the 1500 excells in extended range targeting and allows the pilot to strike at ranges beyond the standard range envelope. In addition, several sets of secondary circuits are available with the flip of a switch, each specificly tailored to each of the Destroyer's weapon systems. Although difficult to learn for new pilots, many Mechwarriors feel that once used to the system it is superior to most other systems available.

Finally, the Destroyer carries a full heat coverage with the use of RMW's patented Gel-Sink VIII Double Heat Sinks. Utilizing a chemical composite gel rather then typical fluid coolant, the Gel-Sink system has a 6% higher efficiency rating then any other competing brand. However, the system has yet to become wide spread and the gel is considerably more expensive then standard coolant, thus making it difficult to maintain for cash-strapped units. The system is able to operate with regular coolant materials, although its efficiency rating does drop to within the range of more generic standard models. RMW offers training on the system's use to any buyer free of charge, and also offers discounts on the Gel-Sink material for units that purchase more then a lance of 'Mechs from the factory.

Deployment
The Destroyer has seen service from the Clan Homeworlds to the Capellan Confederation and has always made its presence known on the battlefield. As one would imagine, it is most common in the LAAF where it often occupies a role normally reserved for assault 'mechs. Initially derided by Lyran pilots for "trying to hard to be an Assault", it has nontheless built a loyal following and has become one of the more popular assignments within Steiner forces.

The DCMS deploys the next highest numbers, the majority of which being the 4K model. With it's jump jets and heavier armor, the 4K fits right in with the highly mobile DCMS and serves as the anchor of many DCMS Heavy and Assault formations. The model 2A's that the DCMS deploys are almost exclusively used as honor guards for high ranking officials or important instalations, their combination of mobility with firepower ideal to both duties.

Known Variants
There are several variants of the Destroyer, including one recently introduced that may take the 2A's place as the primary production model.

Designed specifically for the DCMS, the DEST-4K trades the twin Gauss Rifles for two Mydron Excel LB-10X Autocannons. The weight saved goes towards additional armor, 120 meters of jump capability, as well as a Slave C3 module. Built for close combat and urban tactics, the 4K has built a reputation for itself outside of that of the 2A and is much more famouse then it's progenitor within Combine space.

Next, the DEST-4S first came about within LAAF units assigned along the Jade Falcon border. Searching for a heavier punch to help against Falcon assault formations, technicians again removed the two Gauss Rifles and put in their place a single Heavy Gauss Rifle and a single Light Gauss Rifle. Able to both match Clan weaponry ranges with the LGR and smash through armor with the HGR, the 4S played a signifigant role in slowing the Falcon march towards Coventry during the FedCom Civil War.

Finally, the newest model has only been deployed on New Kyoto by the RMW Security Regiment against the Word of Blake Militia and already has created a buzz within the Mechwarrior world. Marked the DEST-5R, she carries twin Heavy PPC's in place of the trademark Gauss Rifles, and carries four RAMTech ER Medium Lasers in place of the standard laser arrangement. Also utilizing a more compact Light Engine as well as carrying over a ton more armor, the 5R is much more survivable then the 2A without loosing any of the parent design's lethal firepower.

Good firepower, good fluf, good picture. In two words: great design.
I think the Wobbies will have troubles dealing with your armory.
May I suggest you a Davion variant with twin RAC/5 (something that could be easily supported by the picture)?

Bah, no thanks necessary MT. I was just confused when I saw the HPPC variant posted and not using the pic. After taling to you, now I understand why you did that. Anyhow...I think you expanded this fluff even more than what I'd already seen MT. Mean, mean mech. It's really a 75 ton assault mech in all honesty. Good design, glad to finally see it!
