Overview:
We baught the rights to the Eagle light mech and soon beagain 
working on improving the design from what it once was though it was 
good for what it was it was laking more weapons and armor. By 
increasing the firepower we were able to improve possible damage to 
the enemy while increasing armor without loss of speed. The main 
problem we had was keeping the heat down while keepiing to the30ton 
maximum weight limit set by House Liao when we asked if they were 
intersedted in a new Eagle. The new Eagle is by far a deadlyer 
machine but it's also more exspensive but not to much more even for 
liao.

Capabilities:
The new Eagle has demonstraed the abilty to destroy medium and 
light mechs and destroy them but there has been the issue of heat at 
times of overuse of the PPC but that is overshadowed by the fact that 
armor and tonage of increased on the entire mech. The new armor now 
ferro-Firbrus and at 6Tons of the armor it more then out does the 
orignal while keeping most of the same speed but the elimination of 
one of the Jump jets was deemed a necesity in order to continue the 
project.

Deployment:
Has Been deployed with lances containing the Duan Gung and other 
light mechs of the Capelan federation.

Battle History:
It has become popular with pilots for the firepower available on 
such a light machine but no combat of yet

It is true that it is more impressive but it is also more costly and somehow fragile.
Also it is no more in line with the original fluff: make a 'Mech more reliable, less costly and with easier shipping of parts.
Apart from that, its main problem is that it seems to be a light 'Mech hunter but it lacks the needed speed to catch with them. In 3025, it could work but later...

Overview:

     We decided to take another crack at the Assassin only this time we made the main weapon one with a better track record then the rotary weapon in our pevious assassin model. This time it truely has sniping capability. Now armed with a Extented range PPC and coupled with a targeting computer alows the assassin to target the the cockpit of an opposing mech.

Along with these changes we addressed the cronic problems such as the small cockpit and the cooling system have been adressed and as such our previous assassin models will have refit kits for the cockpit and cooling systems making the assassin mech a safer mech to pilot.

A Bigger faster Panther! Nice, but I would drop the ER ML for more DHS. That ER PPC is one Hot weapon. I would hate to see you blow up from an ammo cook off.

Overview:

The warhammer a venerable machine that has made many successful   pilots and for that reason we took a crack at the warhammer. We took imput from our primary customers on quatre belle. The results we got from the customer imput were not surrprsing as again the recent redesign was not popular with mercenaries due to the use of endo steel on a larger chassis and its difficulty to repair in the field.

Production has been relatively easy since apart from the armor the warhammer is a preaty straigforward design. However to be able ot have enough armor for production we had to make 2 orbital factories to produce the armor as shipments of the ferro fribrous are not making it on time to match our rate of manufactue. In fact the warhammer model we had already produce at our facility one heare on Quare belle we have ceased produceing it and swiched entriely to our varriant model.

Capabilities:

   Capabilites are similar to those variants produced during the clan war. Only armor has been changed to ferro fibrous. We retained the machine guns fealing that pulse weapons would add to much heat to the warhammer wich is know for running hot and our main goal was to try to make run as cool as possible and still make it a sizable threat to an mech of equal or higher tonage.

The Wolfs dragoon showed some interest in the machine but we figured it a fools chance with their access to clan tech why would they want our warhammer. Then a representive came wanting 36 by the end of 3064 well we figured since they buy the gallowglass it makes sence.

For a 'Mech without XL Engine, CASE would definitely be a must.

Instead of the SRM, why not go for the added flexibility of a MML?

Dropoing a heat sink you can upgrade the SRM-4A to a SRM-6A. But that option adds to a very good Warhammer. Yes the Streak SRM4 would be good but even with ECM a SRM-4A will still fire as standard SRM and special ammo is cool to use if you have it for standard SRMs. A' finish the fluff please. I would love to finish reading it. O' see if you can get that mg ammo out of the center torso. CASE would be nice. MMLs would only work in the two three packs and with two tons of ammo but it is a good idea. Can not wait till you get the next Warhammer refit out.

Overview:

     Having owed much to clan wolf in exile in the joint partnership of the yenadushi mercenary company we decide to improve on the Clint llC with the clan wolf's permission of cource. However in this matter we had our tech team go to ark royal to begin work on the project. The production facility was to be on ark royal and   the construction was paid for by us and the cost of the first 100 machines built and refit of the exitsting clint llCs to llC2 standard.

Capabilities:

   The main change we made was droping one ton of autocannon ammunition and adding another ER medium laser mounted in the left arm and remove 2 jump jets and add a ECM suite in the head. Double heatsinks have been used to increase combat effeicantcy. All in all while slight ly less mobile it makes up for it in more firepower and scout cappability with the ECM suite.

The only other variant is the Original llC model.

But do not forget the mobility aspect, this is an important point here.

With an LB-10X you really only need two tons of ammo. With the amount of armor this guy's packing, you're probably not going to get a chance to use all 30 shots from the LB anyway. You could potentially drop another ton of ammo and get two more jump jets to bring it back up to 6/9/6, especially if you want it to have a scouting ability. IMO, making a 'Mech less manueverable does not make it a better scout, even with extra equipment.

Overview:

 

The Naga class destroyer first launched in 2645 intended as a replacement for the Essex. The Naga class served a respectable 50 years unitll ironicly replaced by the upgraded essex. Its successs was its low cost but that does not sell its self short. However when originaly   designed it was found it could not operate indepedently due to its dependence on ammuniton,lack of agility, and vulnerable aft section.


We learned that three naga class vessels has surrvied the fall of the star league and comstar had mothballed them over neptune. The word of blake was in the process of restoring them to working order. However since they destroyed our facilites on terra we were itching for payback so a plan was put forward that on of the three nagas in orbit around neptune would be stolen by us. One was stolen but it took moderate damage and only half its weapons were operational. After a rough ride to Quatre Belle the vessel was then evaluated besides the weapons and the damage taken in the escape the ship was in good shape.

Plans were drafted to upgrade and improve the design and then eventualy put it into production with at least 7 to ber produced within a year.

Much to our disbelief the the ship name history and battle logs     were either wiped or destroyed. Even the name of the vessel Id number and name normaly painted on the hull was faded away to the point it was ilegeable to read.

 

 

 

Capabilities:

The original Naga had a effective concentrated mix of firepower but its firepower was limited to shorter ranges and its armor was relatively thin for its class. It was dependent on its aerospace fighters to defend against enemy fighters. Its main flaw if any was it depedence on ammo for nearly   half its weapons.

To remedy its flaws weapons and armor were upgraded alowing for more powerfull weapons to be instaled. The Naga is now able to act alown. The biggest change would be the lithium fusion battieries installed to increase range of operation. Though cargo is reduced the amount of ammo carried for its autocannons is greatly increased. Though cargo is usualy used for more ammo we have removed the need for cargo space being used for the autocannon ammo but the missile ammo is still limited and thus cargo space is used.

Slow, but it can make two jumps and has enough firepower for everything in front of it. It lacks in the rear quadrant, although that single KW launcher should allow it some criticals for retaliation. This thing screams out for docking collars, I'd want to use it as a centerpiece for a small fleet given its carrying capacity (the cargo space is "ample" by every definition of the word, even during the Star League era.) With backup, this could easily be a "command destroyer" or some such. Nice work.

Given the age and material state (one would assume miserable) of those vessels it is arguable if they would be worth the funds salvaging them as opposed to just building a new vessel to a similar set of specifications.

That having been said this isn't that bad a refit, just suffers from the same flaw as the original, ie the slow acceleration for a warship in these modern times.

      Specializing in Mech designes and company is family owned also lisencing existing designes. Started out as a small arms designer company in2012 and eventually went into mech desingn. Has switched names from Hawkeye hi to origianal name of American Arms Incorparated.

Our main factory is located in what was left of the Cheyane mountain base, and though it was decyaed exstensively after it was abandend in the 22nd century , we were able to retool the facility to produce mechs.
Our enginers made thebase larger by going deeper under groud wich allowed us to make research labs testing ranges and factory. All concealed in a moutain and protected from nuclear weapons. Our methods of aquiring designs is not without flaws we steal from under clan noses when ever possible and then modify or redesign what we took. This istalation is new for us only just in 3060 had we finished working on the the instalation that started in 3057. We have latley been producing mechs for only House Liao since they have given us the most creative freedom. We have swithched gears a little we have started designing mechs for Solaris arenas.
We sometimes crate mechs for the budget market though they tend to be pet projects.

American mercenary development

This armory is to produce existing designs of witch we will list soon. We primaraly design and produce varriants of ancient battlemechs. Here is the list of the mechs that we have liceseced for production. The third facility will be dedicatied to american arms new designs and new variants of existing designs. Politicaly we oppose clan rule as due the majority of quatre belle's populace so we stand with quatre belle's planetary government in oposition of being part of the raven alliance.

 

We now have 10 lines of production for every mech except our Atlas model wich is limted to 3 lines of production. This includes our aerospace divison so depending on the mech we could have 20 to 30  mechs or aerospace fighter off the lines per month.

 

Update 3060's - We have currently employed Wilson's hussars both because we feal pitty for them and we hope to offer what  we have surrplus to them as well as repair for what they have that is functional . We will provide employment food shelter and help gain future employment.

 

3075 Update- Quatre  belle is only facility of american arms that is intact the rest have been destroyed by the WOB. All factories here orbital or on the planet have been heavily fortified. We have also looked into the moons of quatre belle for possible raw matrierals.

Our recent partnerships with Taurus Territorial Industries has informed us of the damage incured by astroids in 3074 on  their main factories onTaurus and attacks by Hansen's Roughriders on their factories on sterope. Though we are stretched thin already we have made every effort to help or partner rebuild.

 

 3076 update- Wilson's Hussars have departed quatre bell and are no longer employed by us.

This is a nice load of mechs I'm downloading and converting into SSW as it gives you variation on ammo, which HMP doesn't and as all are tournoment legal they make good Solaris 7 arena fighters, I likethe way you upgrade and refit as where but on the whole well done.

Overview:

a cheap garrison or security mech was needed to round out American Artms's noticicbly high medium and assault class mech production. The mech would have to be in the 20 to 30ton class and rely mainly on machine guns to do its job. The resulting machine while slow for its weight class was still acceptalbe given the urban eniviorment it would be performing in.

Capabilities:

This machine if fairly lightly armed with six machine guns for anti-infantry operations as well as a oneshot SRM2. Two medium lasers provide the heavy firepower of this design. Jumjets alow for more flexablility in urban combat.

Variants:

A pulse laser variant with double heatsinks is in the works.

For it's proposed role, it is extremely overpriced. I'd take LIS's idea but turn it down to level 1- 100 MG bullets, SRM 2 with infernos, 3 machine guns, another Jump jet, and remove all the level 2 tech for standard stuff. I'd then try for a large laser.

I'll echo everyone else. 600 rounds for six MGs is way too much. You could get away with a half-ton lot (100 rounds, 16 shots each) for all six and have plenty to last until this thing is destroyed or the battle is over. You'll then have plenty of tonnage to play around with, maybe remove one of the CASE systems and replace it with the other half-ton to make the SRM-2 a non-OS launcher? Add more armor? Up to you.

if it is an security mech you are wanting to make, then go with an ICE to reduce costs, plus a utilitymech structure to shave off some more of the cost. since it is an urban enviroment, i think a suitable speeed would be about 3/5 to 4/6, and not much higher above that.

If you're looking for a cheap mech, Ferro-Fibrous and CASE are expensive. You'd be better off dropping them. you can also afford to cut back on the MG ammo, say 1.5 tons instead of 3. This gives you enough tonnage to add a jump jet, upgrade to 6.5 tons regular armor, and upgrade the SRM2 Oneshot to a standard SRM4. All this, and the mech is slightly cheaper.

A cheap 'Mech? It costs around 1.5 UrbanMech.
Why is it carrying 600 rounds of ammo for the Machine Guns? This is not a good thing to have when things are heating up.

Overview:
       My brother am fanatic war historian always  took long trips 
   thruoghout the Inner sphere hoping to find old battle mechs and data 
   cores of old bombed out or abandoned factories. Then my brother came 
   to me with a core that contained plans of a very old light mech he 
   thought I would be interested in and a few others to boot. Then me 
   and my techs took a look and decided to chose to manufacture the 
   vertualy exstinct Falcon battle mech ,but not without using advanced 
   technology to rebuild the onece proud mech. Our techs argued and 
   argued on the weapons configurations until finally decideding on a 
   plethora of lasers coupled with a Holy LRM5 missle rack. The Falcon 
   looks to fill a role similar to the popular Wolfhound but more 
   exspensive.

Capabilities:
       The falcon is ment to destroy light to medium opponets and 
   possibly damage larger opponents. the Falcon can run hot and that is 
   whay alternating laser fire and the LRM rack is advised to 
   mechwarriors. The small laser is a Omicron because my brother was 
   able to save over 200 of the type of laser from the same location of 
   the datacore. the faclon boasts a mix of ER Mediums and small and 
   standard smalls and medium lasers  and a LRM 5 for long range.

Deployment:
       The Northwind Highlanders have at least 50 for the time being and 
   has feilded them in most of their new green units to test its 
   effectivesness with unseasond mechwarrors. House Marik is interested 
   in the mech and pirchesed about 60 of the type or testing aginst its 
   intended prey.

Battle History:
       Falcon has performed well in hunting down light mechs such as the 
   wasp and stinger and even the newer Osiris.

Known Variants:
       A beagle active probe variant is in the works but no defenant 
   chance as of now

Quite powerful but it does not look like a Falcon anymore.
To me, it is more akin to a Firefly than a Falcon.
I would also try to mix the weapons in the arms so that a lucky shoot in the right one does not let this 'Mech without most of its middle range firepower.

Overview:
       Intended work with the Clone designers set out to make a recon 
   version of the Clone but lighter and faster. Though in early 
   developement was slowed due to many malfunctions and thus killing 2 
   of our test pilots in the process. This coupled with the loss of the 
   prototype prevented it being released with the Clone Commander. A 
   test pilot figured out our problem which was a  power cable rupturing 
   that connected the PPC to the Left Torso and this was corrected with 
   better protecting the wire from the heat produced during operation. 
   Eventualy  production went under way with 500 being built half of the 
   number the clone produced

Capabilities:
       This clone is essentially a much smaller Clone mech but with a 
   supped up electronics package added and TAG to call in artilary 
   support in. The Recon Clone is relativly the same cost as the Clone 
   but in a 35 ton package. The ECM Suite alows a stealthy aproach to 
   the target then raining artilary with the tag system. A ER PPC 
   w/capaciter alows sustianed fire without the short recharge time and 
   an asortment of medium and small lasers for support.

Deployment:
       Has been purchased in small numbers by those  Who have purchased 
   the clone and Colone commander mechs. Though it has been produced in 
   higher numbers then the Clone Commander.

I do think that this 'Mech has some potential, enough even to rival the Tessen but your use of lvl 3 is wasting it.
You could make a better 'Mech without using this advanced technology.

Overview:

The harconen l while succesfull it lacked staying power and speed so we decied to design a operational partner to the Harconen by producing the harconen ll.

Capabilities:

Though not as powerful as the first in the series it certanly is faster and more agile. The only drawback being the XL powerplant. To protect the delicate engine the machine is coverd in 8.00 tons of ferro fibrous armro more then enough for the speedy mech. The primary amrament is the LBX autocannon 5 supported by 2 ER medium laser and a small pulse laser.

I see it with the autocannon motif as related to the Harconen I, but Ice has a point. As designed, this is a very expensive mech with little firepower. A 2750 Sentinel does pretty much the same job (with a bit less speed and armor), weighs 10 tons less, and is less than 1/3 the price in c-Bills.

EDIT - I see you've dropped it 10 tons, which was proably a good move costwise, since it lets you use a smaller engine. (An XL engine is 4 times the price of a regular engine and is most of the cost of the mech.)

One note on armor... you're sitting at 8 tons of ferro fibrous. That last half ton is only worth 3 points because the mech maxxes out at 137 points. You could save a half ton by removing 3 points of armor, which is worth another jump jet. ALTERNATELY, you could use Endo Steel instead of Ferro Fibrous, which would force you to add a half ton of armor to stay at maximum, but since you'd save 2 tons on the internal structure weight, you'd come out ahead... which gets you lots more jump jets, or perhaps another ER Medium Laser.

It is fast but not mobile and I find it a bit undergunned.
I would drop all its weapons for a PPC, 2 Medium Lasers, another Heat Sink and 7 Jump Jets.
This way you would have firepower at a decent range and mobility.

Overview:
       The Clone battle mech was designed to be the perfect city 
   defender. The Clone was to work in groups of Seven or more. american 
   arms was despirate for this mech to sell but as luck would have it 
   House Davion was intersested in the clone battlemech mainly becaus of 
   steiners tactic of destroying whole cities by some of their more 
   ruthless commanders. The design team themselves didn't think that the 
   mech would even sell at all, but they got a lucky break when buyers 
   just kept showing up we knew we had done something right. We had to 
   retool the area that had produced our Royal Guard defence mech just 
   to keep up with the orders for over 1,000 in 6 months whell this is 
   to be exspected as the mech is perform best when working in groups of 
   the same mech. Many of the Designers often brag that they created a 
   clone army. 

Capabilities:
       The Clone is optimized for City fighting with most of its weapons 
   being medium to close range weapons. It has two SRM4 launchers whith 
   four tons of amo plenty in extended combat. Heat is not an issue 
   whith most of the excess heat being displaced during weapons fire. 
   Small pilse lasers and standard medium laser providing plenty of 
   close range punch. The large laser provides most of the firepower and the machine gun provides some  anti-infantry ability. Though the lack of jump jets is troublesome we hoped the cheap cost and weapons loadout would leed to great  sales.

I think Ice Hellion is wright do way with mg and ammo and 2 tons of srm 4 ammo thats 3 tons. That gives you jump 5 and .5 tons do as you see fit

"the orders for over 1,000 in 6 months" : I doubt that any company would be able to reach this target.

Now to the 'Mech, it is not bad but it is lacking a good weapon in cities: jump jets.
Also 4 tons of ammo for the SRM-4 might be a bit too much. I would drop them and use the weight for Streak SRM-4.
If you have Small Pulse Lasers, you do not need Machine Gun but you might use the weight to put a much needed Beagle Active Probe.

Overview:
Terra weapons and bussiness report:
There have been strange 
reports of mechs of an new design guarding American Arms 
Incorparated's entrances and the perimater of the facility and it 
seems to aimed at short range combat and that would make sences since 
the company has been attacked by an unkown group and as a result this 
mech seems to have been created to gaurd the facility. The mechs 
appearance seems to be a smaller Ha Otoko but armed with two swords 
and from the looks an aray of short range weaponry. The mech is 
painted in all black warrior look in a atempt to intimadate the 
enemy. From the CEO we have learned that the mech uses only standard 
equipment though that was all we could confirm from him at the time 
and he refused to dissclose anymore information on the matter and 
neither did he commnet on the instalation of artilariy in the sides 
of the facility.

Capabilities:
The capablities were published on the mech but that was it. The 
mech is armed with a tag to opperate as a spotter for the deffences 
surrounding the mountain complex and beagle active probe to inform 
the faciliy of incoming targets. The Royal Guard is intended to focus 
on close quarters combat so a large pulse laser and two swords 
provide deadly options and two ER small lasers and TWO ER Medium 
lasers provide grate medium firepower and an streake SRM4 provides 
short fire support and a LRM 5 provides some long range reach. The 
mech is not made to be speedy so the lack of speed is notable for its 
role of guard duty.

Deployment:
The mech is to be only used by American Arms Incorparated and is 
not in the market for any buyers and is deployed around the perimater 
of the complex.

Battle History:
The Royal Guard performes well at night mainly do to it's black 
color scheme. It is evident it needs more longrange weapons.

Known Variants:
on drawing board the reamoval of the beagle active probe for a 
ECM SUITE.

An interesting approach to an important problem: keep our companies safe of intruders.
The problem here is that it has two swords (which it cannot use in one turn) and is rather slow as sometimes being able to go after the opponent is as important (although the TAG will partly solve that problem).

It can barely out run an urbanmech, it mounts 2 swords when you can only use one, and longe range firepower is laughable. Still it's a good city brawler. I would loose a sword and strip out the LRM 5 to upgrade the egine to 4/6 and trade the large pulse laser for a standard ppc thus giving you descent medium range firepower.

Apart from the problems noted below it is a much better design than the origonal. The only change i would make would be to drop half a ton of the machine gun ammo to add another jump jet. You'd have to remove the left hand acuator though. Also move SSRM 4 into the left torso so you don't have to worry about an ammo explosion. Once again a much better design.

The selection of weapons is in par with most lvl 1 55 tons 'Mechs and its versatility is a good thing.
My problem is more on how to make the TSM work. I guess it is a combo of shutting down some heat sinks, firing all weapons in range and jumping but I also guess that in the heat of battle, it will be hard to remember which one.

A couple things:

Fluff has a BAP but the stats show an ECM.
How did AAI acquire TSM?
4/6/3 is awfully slow for a 55 tonner, so how will it survive?
While the weapons variety is impressive, there is very little actual firepower. Why will this be used over a variety of all-around superior level 1 mechs?

Overview:

THis is Our greatest leap the LAM type mech. We solved one of the LAM's greatist problems the vulnerability of the conversion mechanisms which we are happy to say are all internal and not visable from the outside, but a sereis of access panels alow for ease of matinence on such systems. Though exspensive the caoability of such a machine far out weighs the cost.

Capabilities:

The mech is very streamlined and futureistic its main weapon is the   ER large Laser and is supplemented by the sword carried on the left wrist of the mechand is retractable. A modest speed alowing for closing in on an oppent and jump jets add to the mechs already impresive manuverability. When other weapons are needed 2 ER medium lasers and a small pulse laser   complete the impresive aresnal. The flag is powerd by a light fusion engine and is protected by 10 tons of ferro-fibrous armor. The Flag is a rapid response unit able to hold the line until renforcements can arrive. Its capable of aircombat in both fighter and mech modes.

An interesting idea: a mix between long range lasers and short range weapons.
I think that right now this LAM is split in two. You did not decide where to go. In a normal 'Mech, this would not be a problem but on a specialised 'Mech like a LAM, it is.
And a LAM with a sword? Why not? It is a lot in the anime spirit but this could be interesting.

What's imagination got to do with it? I IMAGINE that if you spent another half ton on a jump jet that you'd get 3 more hexes of jump in LAM mode.

What I don't understand is the machine gun. An LAM doesn't typically need an anti-infantry weapon. Swap it for a small laser, and you can lose the CASE too.

The sword is a rather unique choice for an LAM as well. Most of them concentrate on not getting close enough to get hurt, but this one seems to be a short range fighter. Odd.

LAM's are supposed to be fast attack vehicles. This goes against it. The Large Pulse laser, small laser, machine gun, and ESPECIALLY the sword serve no purpose. And having a speed of 5/8/4 really detracts from it's ability as a LAM- you lose 3 hexes of a jump; so why did you sacrifice it?

Overview:
       After seeing battle footage of the Clone battlemech it was 
   evident it needed a command version to command the bulk of the the 
   city defence clones. Designers decided to make a commamd version to 
   improve the existing clone mechs effectiveness on the battlefield. 
   Production has been slow because our production space in  the moutain 
   is small due to our construction crews being slowed down by mineral 
   deposites that could be valuable to the company and thus creating a 
   production deficet.

Capabilities:
       The Clone Commander is a heavy mech though it is essentially a 
   much larger towering version of the Clone mech. Saddly to say no jump 
   jets again but its still a good heavy hitter and despite its size it 
   still retains its speed to a degree.
Their is one thing that was 
   included and that was an emphisis on medium to long range firepower 
   to compentsate for the clones lack of long range punch that is why a 
   ppc is included and a LRM 10 is equiped into the design. Heat is an 
   issue but a coolant pod is included to compensate for the problem. 
   The main liability is the XL engine that is suceptable to a lucky 
   hit. The Clone Commander is wraped in 13tons of standard armor and a 
   endo-steel chassis gives the machine some lasting time in combat.

Deployment:
       Deployement is to the main customers of the Clone battlemech 
   though with small numbers do production difficulties.

Battle History:
       it has distingwished its self in leading the clone battle mech in 
   combat on many occasion against heavly armed bandits.

I do wonder about this use of so much advanced tech on this 'Mech (I would agree with the Command Console but that is all).
The lack of jump jets is the main problem on this 'Mech that could compete with the Griffin.

Overview:
The Dimond Sharks wealth turned out to be both a blessing and a 
Curse because it sparked envy among the clans witch caused some 
fighting among the clans witch alowed American arms spies to do 
their work witch gave us the Ha Otoko Battlemech. The Techs right 
away said lets remove the Two LRM 10s and add some lasers to the mix 
and alow for a better defence of the mech if faced with opponents to 
large to be taken with Missles alone. The tonnage incrase was to 
acomadate weapons and armor and the incrase has overall giving the 
mech a higher survival probablity in combat. I disliked thr mech 
namly because it was only missles and though I liked the apearance it 
did little to stem my reluctance to give funds to the project , but 
my personal tech advisor convinced me otherwise to put the funds into 
the project. I agreed but my tech had to agree to the following term 
he must make it sell at least 100 of this mech to our primary 
customer House Liao. Saddly my friend and tech died in a transport 
accident on his way to the factory and I made it my mission to see 
that the mech sold more then 100. The mech is to go into production 
as fast as possible and take up what production areas we have left 
even if we have to reconfigure the machines to produce the mech we 
will make a record production of a mech for this company and even if 
it Bankrupts us in the process.

Capabilities:
The Ha Otoko now has the cappablity to attack at nearly all 
ranges with all bases coverd with the new weapon systems the new mech 
still perform in it's intended role of fire support but with the 
cappacitty to defend itself when needed. It can easly attack at short 
to long range.

Deployment:
House Liao was amazingly estatic about our new mech and is 
willing to buy 250 of the new mech from us and is to deployed in 
front line lances that contain the Lao Hu mech and Men Shen 
battlemechs.

Battle History:
The Ha Otoko seemed to work well when grouped with the Men Shen 
fireing a full missle salvo and then the Men Shen fininshig the the 
target of with a alpha strike.

Oversinked? I do not agree with that one.
I do wonder however about two things: this thing getting within the Liao space (with a Light engine in it?)? And also its use, the fluff of the Ha Otoko says that it could easily become an Inner Sphere design with.
You are also missing CASE to protect your pilot.
Apart from that, the weapons remind me of a bigger Dervish (without the jumping capacity) or an Archer. And this is another problem: for one Ha Otoko, I can get two Archers meaning the same number of Lasers but twice the missiles plus two targets. Guess what my choice would be?

While you say the mech is mixed tech, I can't see any Clan components, and explaining (or mentioning) the switch to IS weapons may come in handy. The mech itself is well designed, if slightly oversinked, so good job overall.

Overview:

The harconen was a atempt to make a flexable yet combat effective lance support unit. We looked at most support mechs but they all had the primary doctrine of longrange mech and infantry support offten supstiuting artilary or mobile missle systems in this role. The harconen was the   logical blend of both short and longrange firepower and able hold its own in a lance.

Capabilities:

The primary weapon is a rotary autocannon 5 supported by SRM4s and two medium lasers round out the Harconen's armarment. The harconen is quite slow but the amount of firepower it can bring to bear is astonishing. This comes at a cost however it is heavly ammunition dependent there fore it can;t   stray to far from supplies, other then that it is equiped with a standard fusion reactor ensuring   survival and is covered by 12.5 tons of ferro-fibrous armor making the harconen capable of withstanding a decent amount of punishment.

A Lance Support 'Mech? For me this is a brawler designed to fight from middle ranges on.
It might lack a bit of mobility but in open grounds, it should be able to do its job quite well.

Overview:
This Mech was designed to be used in the arenas of Solaris and to 
beet the competitian. The Design team at American Arms Inc. was 
looking at new mechs hitting Solaris that were doing reasonably well 
in matches. We looked at the New Gladiater and the Jack hammer for 
insperation and seleceted the main weapon of the Jackhammer as a 
starting point. The executives wanted this to be a mech to be sold 
only to solaris jocks so we were set on a Brawler type chassis and 
set out to build the mech, but while in develope ment the team had 
completly forgotten to name their creation so they desided to name it 
the Trigun after the mechs 3 main guns. The Trigun is made 
specificaly for arena fightingand was to have been given to a few 
liao and Steiner solaris pilots who were in good standings.The Mech is very exspensive but it's performances speak for its self.

Capabilities:
The trigun was intended for Arena firghting and has the wapons to 
prove it with more then enough amo two RAC/5 and a Light AC/2 provide 
the most fire power and wtih a multi-track ll targating computer the 
Trigun should not have any difficulty finding the enemy target. 4 ER 
Medium lasers and a medium laser provide backup deffence if the RAC 
cannons jamm. Two jumpjets provide emergency manunverablility and 
with a greate heat curv the trigun will hardley over heat due to the 
fact that almost all heat is dissplaced by the Double heatsinks.

Deployment:
Has been sold to a few Solaris jocks Loyal to House Liao and 
Steiner and one independent.

Battle History:
from the arena the Trigun performs well against all oppoments 
with some troublre with the Atlas and Awsome mechs. The RAC/5 has 
some tendency to jam but the light ac.2 Covers the problem as well as 
the 4 ER medim lasers.

I am not really a fan of lvl 3 and I think that this monster could be easily converted to lvl 2.
With 17.5 tons of armor, 3 JJ, 15 DHS, 2 RAC/5, 6 Medium Lasers, 2 CASE (in the CT, there is no use for it), one GECM, it should really rip its opponents (although it would then miss the third gun).

2 jump? That's Useless. I'd drop the jump jets, the Light AC, the CT CASE, and the multi-track system (not too useful while dueling), replace your lasers with standard mediums so they can be fired with the rotaries, and add a TC, a streak 4, and an ER small laser.

Based on the Harconen l design while striving to creat a cost effective mech. Though the result was a monster comparable to most assault class mechs. We took carfull time with this behemoth over 3 years before the first two harconens were in production. This was done so too alow for hype to build up and alow for a sizable price increase.

I like the raw firepower of its design and its capacity to still annoy people at longer ranges.
I would drop one Heat Sink (not needed) to give it the missing ton of ammo for the LRM-15.

Indeed. At ranges over 15 it has only 3 LRM 5's, and at 3/5 movement, it's not closing the distance very quickly. A stock 3025 Vindicator that plays a good game of keepaway could challenge this mech 1 on 1. (And lose, but still... a 45 tonner shouldn't even be a challenge.)

Your series' dedication to autocannon technology is cool, but remember that relying ONLY on autocannons is a good way to get outgunned. Mixing an autocannon or gauss rifle with another system like an LRM or a PPC provides more firepower, decent heat management, and good ranged response... all for about the same weight and space.

EDIT - LRM15 with Artemis is a good change. I'd suggest dumping the ER Small and a half ton of armor (it's only providing you 3 points anyway) and bumping up the LRM ammo.

Overview:
Shengli Arms needed help with prodction of a Lao Hu variant due 
to lack of room to keep up with orders being placed by House Liao. 
Shengli while a competitor we agreed to manufacture the mech with 
permission to improve the Lao Hu and American Arms Inc. did so with 
this varriant. Shengli Promissed 50% of proffits of the improved 
variant and Shengli also generasly supplied the communications and 
targeting systems. House Liao seemed happy with the Mech and orders 
are pouring in despite the high price.

Capabilities:
This variant was designed to be successfull at all ranges and is 
very ggod at it's intended role. The ER PPC provides heavy long range 
fire power and supported by an LRM 10 and a ER LARGE laser. A ER 
Medium laser and two medium lasers provide medium to close ranges. 
Coolant pods are equiped to improve heat management and as a added 
gift all AH Lao Hu an Artimis IVC FCS for improved LRM 10 accuracy. 
We upped the tonnage to 100T though a radical step it allowed for the 
mech to carry the maximum armor the chass could hold. The mech is 
slower but it works for it's intended role of an assault mech.

Deployment:
Has yet to be put into offical combat but skrimishes with with 
mercinaries shows it performs well with some heat issues that are 
manageable if the coolant pods are used sparingly the mech can 
perform very well.

Battle History:
My father Donald Sommer tested the mech against an Templar and he 
noted that wille he was slower he had the advantge of being more 
manuverable in combat. It gave the the pilot of the Templar wich was 
Jasek-Kelswa-Steiner leader of the Stormhammers a run for his money. 
He comented that his mech was over heating very fast and that he 
could not susstain the same rate of fire. Jasek exspresed intrest in 
purchasing 2 AS Lao Hu for him and Alexia Wolf.
My father also was 
amazed at how easlly he dissabled the templar with little 
understanding of what tactics to use.

This is definately a mean bombardment mech. It lacks enough back up weapons for my taste, but A) It should have lancemates for that, and B) the Thunderhawk, the most feared mech of a similar role to your mech has similar problems, so good job.

More firepower, more protection (with the CASE), more costly and a bit heavier than the Lao Hu.
It is hard to decide which one to use but your strange choices for secondary weapons (SSRM-2, LRM-5 and MG) all of them with plenty ammo and the somehow lesser caliber of most of your weapons would mean that you would have to fight more to take the same opponent down. This is why I would prefer the original Lao Hu.

Trebuchet witch has given us even more exsperiance in reverse 
enginering Clan weapons tech for our use and new advances.
The first 
of our second line of reverse enginered weapon systems is the Clan 
ER PPC and LRM20 witch took many years of trial and error. The 
trebuchet now has more bite then ever and don't be thinking that the 
mech will be steching your pocket books it's under 7,000,000 
C-bills. The low cost is the result of using mostly inner sphere 
tech in the design but with a few clan weapon systems. It's so cheap 
in fact that production has already started and has produced 100 of 
the mech already to go.

Capabilities:
The Trebuchet is a fire support mech that untill now lacked 
sufficient bite to contend with larger opponents that is why we 
decided to use our two newest prototype renginerd clan weapons the ER 
PPC and LRM 20 to boost the mechs surrviavablity in combat and enough 
LRM reloads to keep the mech in battle fore more then enough time 
before needing to resupply. The ER PPC provides the Trebuchet with 
what it never had a true mech killer gun and coupled with a targeting 
computer could prove to be very deadly. The Trebuchet has back up 
weapons the classic pair of medium lasers in the left arm and a ER 
small laser in the head provide good short range firepower. The 
trebuchet is coverd in Ferro-fibrous armor giveng the mech the 
maximum possible armor it could carry. The Trebuchet can now safely 
say I can stand up to the big guys on the battlefield.

Deployment:
House liao has deployed the New trebuchet in medium and asault 
lances througout their territoy and House Steiner has purchesed the 
mech as well and seems to be puting them in the front lines.

First, mixed tech is lvl 3 but this is not that important.
I am unsure if I like this heavier Trebuchet (the original one was 50 tons). It has more direct firepower, less indirect firepower and less mobility.
The lack of the usual twin racks makes this design something new (and a nice 'Mech although a bit slow) but not a Trebuchet.

Ac/2? Kind of an odd weapon for a long range weapon.

I know this is a custom, real-world transverse, but I think it would be a better idea (if in a tournament game) to replace the AC/2 for an LRM 10 with at least a ton of ammo.

Specializing in Mech designes and company is family owned also lisencing existing designes. Started out as a small arms designer company in2012 and eventually went into mech desingn. Has switched names from Hawkeye hi to origianal name of American Arms Incorparated. 
The company is in need of contracts and will accept any designs our competitor's will offer(hint,Himt)!

Our main factory is located in what was left of the Cheyane mountain base, and though it was decyaed exstensively after it was abandend in the 22nd century , we were able to retool the facility to produce mechs.
Our enginers made thebase larger by going deeper under groud wich allowed us to make research labs testing ranges and factory. All concealed in a moutain and protected from nuclear weapons. Our methods of aquiring designs is not without flaws we steal from under clan noses when ever possible and then modify or redesign what we took. This istalation is new for us only just in 3060 had we finished working on the the instalation that started in 3057. We have latley been producing mechs for only House Liao since they have given us the most creative freedom. We have swithched gears a little we have started designing mechs for Solaris arenas.
We sometimes crate mechs for the budget market though they tend to be pet projects.
Lately we have been under attack by an unkown force and have instaled artilary pieaces around the facility and developed a mech to work in conjunction with the deffences.

Overview:

American arms is how you say worn out after having to rebuild, and effectively start nearly over on quatre belle after the word of blake all but destroyed the company. A year of constant development and building took its tole on our design staff, so we gave them a one month paid vacation.   However we still needed a new product to fill out the space in the vehicle production wing, with the design staff on vacation we looked to existing designs that were in use by the taurians.

After a week of looking we settled on the Mauliter hover APC. The design simple, reliable , and cheap to produce. Then the task of how to improve or change its role, but what to change was the puzzle. Fortunately   2 of the vehicle department design team members declined the vacation. They were new hires and young , they had some thing to prove. They went to work tinkering and after 2 days came up with a workable idea. The next day we contacted Taurus Territorial Industries who produce the maultier to negotiate a joint production of the model we designed. They agreed to a 50/50 split of profits.

Capabilities:

   The Maultier role was changed from a fast APC to a fast armored scout. The Maultier no sports 4 tons of       ferro-fibrous   and a ECM suite. The infantry bay was removed to allow for a more durable scout and to make room for the ECM suite.   The increased armor allows the vehicle to take a hit and keep going while the streak SRM provides accurate close range firepower if and when the Maultier gets in   trouble it cant out run.

Deployment

The simple design allows for a great many to be produced. Taurus Territorial Industries and our own lines for the machine are about the same. Production is roughly 70 per week. Deployment of the vehicle has not been difficult as many are thrown in to units with the Maultier APC and several armored units

Overview:

     Feeling we had failed to provide our Taurian customer with cost effective tanks   Work began on a small through away tank that while cheap could like the scorpion be deployed in mass to overwhelm a stronger enemy. To acheive that end we hesitantly used a fusion reactor as the power plant. Normally when we design a vehicle for the Taurians we use a basic internal combustion engine, but in order to design a cheap and small tank with as much as possible we had to make that choice.

     The chance to build such a machine came at a time when the taurians were looking for a tank that could function in the harsh desert climate of new ganymede. Thought the world is only sparsely populated its valuable mineral ore deposits make a military garrison almost a must.   The taurian desert warfare training facilities are on the planet as well.

Capabilities:

The design had to with stand the harsh desert enviorment   of New Ganymede. We had to have as few spots were sand could get in or collect were moving parts were. The tank needed an advantage in combat aside from weapons armor so the tank is low to the ground providing a even smaller target then the tried and true scorpion. Efforts were made to make the weapons housings sand proof but were only completely successful in protecting the main gun.
That limitation as it were made little difference during trials with the tank showed the machine could lie in wait covered in sand. The tank was dubbed the sand cat.

 

Battle History:

   During trials on new Ganymede a total of 8 prototypes while testing in wargame conditions became barried in a sand dune. They found they could move in and out of the sand hill with ease and no damage to the tanks or their main guns. They then advanced to the entrance of a narrow pass with large dunes near the exit. Then backed into the dunes and waited to ambush the enemy. After 2 days of waiting the time came to attack. The tanks performed rather well as many fled from the ambush only to get stuck attempting to go over the dunes only to sink in the sand due to their weight.

Deployment is rather high with total ordered at 200. Plus 50 for training.

Bit expensive for a Scorp replacement, but significantly more useful - decent

If you swap the LL & extra HS for a PPC (keeping it level 1, increasing the punch AND keeping the price the same) I'd even say excellent!

Well this does give a bit of an upgrade compared to a scorpion. Which leads to start up costs vs ongoing expenses. This is a better unit in the long run so long as you can avoid having it broken into itty bitty bits.

Hmm. Costs more than twice as much as a Scorpion but doesn't offer significantly more performance.

Overview:

   The combat data we gathered from the Bull showed while it performed admerabley it still became overwelmed when faced with larger oponents. The need for a hevier partner machine with a similar weapons profile.   With the design teams   vacation extended   the two youg upstarts had their work cut out for them again. They choose the chassis of the patton, but designed the turret from the ground up in 3 weeks time. A week after that a working prototype was in working order and undergoing trials with the taurian armored corps.   Over all the 2 people who stayed with out vacation earned a raise and a bounus in pay.

 

Capabilities:

     After the trials were completed the main complaint was the protection level of the tank. The armor type was changed to ferro-fibrous thus somewhat off setting the lack of protection for such a heavy machine. The main guns selected were Armstrong class B cluster guns produced in   taurian space. Crew effectiveness was a chief concern so we looked at the layout of the turret and chassis which influenced the design of the turret.   The majority of the weapons were the same as the BMT-117, but to compensate   for the lack of case the ammo feeds from the rear of the turret and is seperated from the crew by a 14 inch thick door made of standard armor plate. This both alows the crew to correct jams in needed or load the main guns if the feeds are damaged.

   The design team tried to give some commonality of parts with the targeting and comm systems being the same used   in the Bull. Repair and basic preventive maintenance in the field were addressed with 3 tool kits provided as standard.

Deployment

Though   deployed in fewer numbers the rough figure for service in the taurian armored corps is about 2 for every Bull BMT-117 in service.
