Overview:

The original Wolverine long had problems with its cumbersome jump jets. There have been countless variants as each house decided on a variant that would best suit them. An obscure model built by House Davion in 3022 was built by the Bacchus Heavy Industries CEO's grandfather. The plans for the -4J model was presented to him on the tenth anniversary of the founding of Bacchus Heavy Industries.

Capabilities:

The -4J model used the basic chassis from the Wolverine. The original powerplant was retained, though the jump jets were rebuilt and placed in the 'Mechs legs. All of the extra heat sinks were dropped giving the 'Mech some of the look of the original Wolverine before the SRM was mounted. The armor was upgraded slightly giving the -4J model the same protection as a WarHammer. The main weapon of the -4J is a Federated Autocannon, normally carried by an Enforcer. Three tons of ammo gives the cannon a long life on the battlefield. A single Martell Medium Laser is carried in the head mounting.

Configuration / Variants:

Given the age of the variant there have not been any new variants built.

Battle History:

The -4J Wolverine was attached to Enforcer units to providing some longevity in long campaigns since the Wolverines could share ammo with the Enforcers. Several urban combat lances also made use of the -4J model. The restructured jump jets reduced the heat problems of the Wolverine and allowed the 'Mech to be used more widely. Though the 'Mech does mount rather heavy armor for its weight, it still was no matter if it got caught by superior numbers or if the pilot foolishly decided to attack a heavier opponent.

Deployment:

Like countless other designs from the Succession Wars, this variant of the Wolverine has been lost forever.

Overview:

Because of the troubles that the CN9-A had with its primary weapon, its AC/10, there were several attempts by some of the old houses to replace the standard model with one of their own. House Marik used a variation that does seem to rather odd. The 'Mech in question was found in an outlying region of Solaris VII, rather close to Joppo, where Bacchus Heavy Industries recently broke ground for their new manufacturing facility. After the ceremony, one of the excavation holes collasped. When enough heavy equipment was brought in, along with the help of several 'Mechs detailed to the site security, the hole was cleared and a small storehouse was found. Rather than being a Star League storehouse it was instead a supply depot left over from the 3rd Succession War when the Solaris system had been under Marik control. Several odd 'Mech variations were found at this site, the CN7-M was one of them.

Capabilities:

Using the basic chassis of the Centurion, but with a new set of weaponry and the extra heat sinks needed for them, the CN7-M is little changed from the original model. The armor protection has been increased slightly making this version of the Centurion a more resilient opponent.

The change in weaponry was neccesitated by the lack of parts for the massive Luxor autocannon. The AC/10 was replaced with a Magna MK I Large Laser. The two center torso mounted medium lasers, one front and one rear, have been retained to help keep some of the look of the old variant. The biggest change is the addition of a Holly Long Range Missile Rack-15 in the left torso with two tons of reloads. The larger LRM rack gives the Centurion a greater volley fire capability and the large laser allows for longer patrols without a long supply train.

Configuration / Variants:

This is a variation of the original Centurion.

Battle History:

Most of the data that was recovered from the storehouse was of a technical nature and most of it has been classified as a trade secret. Unfortunately very few Battle ROMs have survived with the battered 'Mechs that were found in the storehouse. Almost all of the data on the CN7-M Centurion has also been lost.

Deployment:

The few examples of the CN7-M found in the storehouse had the markings of the 13th Marik Militia, but it is unknown at this time whether or not they have any more of this variant of the Centurion. Their near destruction in the 4th Succession War may have destroyed all examples of the CN7-M.

I love the Cetuion although i dont like to pilot mechs with any missles unless its Arrow IV

Lobo316b 0 9/25/2003

Ahh one of my favorite designs, although this version is a more efficient one that the CN9L. Overall I would say without a doubt The centurion's got to be one of the more versatile medium designs, all it realy needs it jump jets to compete

Overview:

The Enforcer has long been the standard medium 'Mech for Davion forces since its was commissioned in 2777. Long used a fire-support 'Mech, the Enforcer makes for an impressive companion to Bacchus Heavy Industries' new line of fire-support 'Mechs. The lead engineer of the Enforcer program was faced with a challenge in choosing the best mix of weaponry for the new design. Mounting missile weaponry and energy weapons exclusively, the new variation of the Enforcer can be a surprise for an enemy that thinks that they know the abilities of the Enforcer.

Capabilities:

The chassis of the -6JR was rebuilt using endo-steel members to lighten it enough so that more weaponry could be installed. A Blackwell 250 Light engine gives the new Enforcer the same movement rate as the upgraded 3050 without the dangers of using an XL-engine. A jump capability of 120 meters gives the Enforcer added maneuverability in tight spaces. As close to the maximum amount of armor possible for its weight class is another trademark of a redesign by Bacchus Heavy Industries. CASE was added to protect against ammunition explosions. Even though the -6JR mounts twelve double heat sinks, extended firing of its main armament can cause heat problems.

The main armament of the -6JR is a pair of Diverse Optics Sunbeam Extended Range Large Lasers. They are mounted in the original arm mountings. Much care was given in the placement of the lasers so that when scanned the -6JR would scan as a normal autocannon armed Enforcer. A pair of Hovertec's new Streak SRM-4s provide the -6JR with heavy short-range firepower. The only problem with the new Enforcer's design is that it can only carry one ton of ammo for its SRM launchers, but since the launchers are the Streak variety none of their expensive ammo is wasted on chance shots.

Configuration / Variants:

There is one variation of the -6JR for those customers who do not like using the Light engines. The variant -7JR uses a GM 300XL engine that gives the Enforcer a much higher top speed. Even though the XL engine does cost more than the Light one, it is more widely used and thus is easier to acquire.

Battle History:

Several -6JR's were shipped to Allied units for the final assault on Tharkad. Reports from those bloody battles report that they faired well against standard Enforcers used by the Loyalist forces. In many of the battles the enhanced short-range punch made the -6JR's extremely devastating against many of the LRM-equipped defenders.

Deployment:

A full lance of -6JR's survived the assault of Tharkad and has been absorbed by the Kell Hound's Second Regiment to make up for their loses in the aftermath of the Civil War.

Overview:

The Henry is the third design in Bacchus Heavy Industries new line of fire-support 'Mechs. Like the Lee Enfield and the Sharps, the Henry is named for a famous Terran battle rifle. In the Henry's case it was the first rifle that was capable of being fired multiple times without having to be reloaded by hand. Its modern day equivalent is also capable of putting down a heavy barrage of fire that few enemies are hard pressed to defend against.

Capabilities:

At the heart of the Henry is a Blackwell 275 Light fusion engine. This allows the Henry to keep pace with other traditional medium 'Mechs and with many of the new heavies. Jump-jets give the Henry added maneuverability in tight spaces. Like the other 'Mechs in its design line, the Henry features as close to maximum armor as possible along with life-saving CASE. The main weapon of the Henry is a Mydron Tornado RAC-5 along with four tons of ammunition in a CASE-protected bay. A pair of Diverse Optics Extended Range Medium Lasers are the Henry's backup weaponry. A Beagle Active Probe rounds out the equipment that the Henry carries. The BAP allows the Henry to serve as a heavy scout or as a heavy raider.

Configuration / Variants:

The only configuration of the Henry replaces the RAC with an Imperator Type II Light Gauss Rifle with two tons of ammo. The BAP is replaced with a C3 slave unit and a Diverse Optics Extended Range Small Laser is carried.

Battle History:

The Henry has not participate in any battles except for simulated ones.

Deployment:

The two prototypes of the Henry are currently stationed near the Periphery border where they can undergo further testing.

Overview:

The base model Centurion has had a place in every Successor State army since the time it was first built. This modification of the venerable Centurion was originally the ride of one of Bacchus Heavy Industries founder's father(a true mouthful there). This version of the Centurion joins the multitude of Centurion variants because its main armament no longer worked correctly.

Capabilities:

The CN9-W differs from the -A model in that it no longer mounts the Luxor D-Series Autocannon. In place of the old autocannon a PPC was mounted along with five additional heat sinks to help dissipate the additional heat. Another change in this design is the addition of 99.4% of the maximum armor available for its weight class.

Configuration / Variants:

This is a variant of the original design.

Battle History:

This version of the Centurion served with distinction during the War of '39. The pilot of this 'Mech was attached to a Fire-support Lance of the 3rd Davion Guards' 2nd Battalion. After the war, "Anna's Hope" returned to the Federated Suns where it was placed into storage until its pilot's son graduated from Albion. The 'Mech was used once during the rioting on Solaris VII when Loyalist forces tried to overrun the spaceport. Along with the ad-hoc defense force thrown together by the allied 'Mech depots there, "Anna's Hope" was once again brought into battle. Even though the frame of the 'Mech was prone to stressfractures due to its age, the Centurion was able to cripple three light Loyalist 'Mechs and was able to destroy a brand-new Enfield from an ambush position.

Deployment:

After the battle was completed, "Anna's Hope" was returned to Bacchus Heavy Industries where it was placed in the foyer leading to the primary 'Mech bays.

Warhawk...seeing this mod package got me thinking. I searched through the piles of B-tech stuff I have laying arround the home and came up with exactly the same refit for a game I was playing in where I swapped out the AC for a PPC, Jacked the armor up to max, and stuffed it full of heat sinks. This was the first mech I ever put on the hex sheets and it was back in 1990...in college. Erk!

Trent Ward 0 10/1/2004

The Centurion CN9-W would get the job done alright. It is a nice heavy hitting fire support mech. It is a bit slow, but it has alot of armor. On top of that the CN9-W has a soild story behind it, including the capabilities and the overview.

Lasergunner posted this 29 July 2017

Bacchus Heavy Industries is the brainchild of a pair of disaffected arena warriors. They became tired of the endless fighting in the arenas and decided to try something else instead. When a mutual friend asked them to customize his 'Mech for an upcoming battle, they found their new purpose in life: 'Mech rebuilding. Named after the Roman god of drinking and "good times," some of their designs look as though they were thought of when they were drunk on something or the other. Oddly enough these designs do rather well in the battles that they fight in. Some of the configurations may seem odd, but they are proven designs.

Bacchus Heavy Industries is located at the Solaris City SpacePort, which gives them close proximity to many of their customers. Being at the SpacePort also keeps down the costs of transporting any equipment.

As of March 3066, Bacchus Heavy Industries has opened a new production facility. Located in the outback regions of Solaris VII with the closest city being Joppo, the new production facility was actually a supply depot left over from the 2nd Succession War. Several of the old 'Mech designs found there have sparked some interest in the company. Several of the most promising old-tech designs has been entered into the company database, but are not for sale, but are simply there for the enjoyment of historians. With the new facility, Bacchus Heavy Industries has moved several production lines and has started up two new lines for custom designs.

Many of the designs built at Bacchus Heavy Industries are mainly rebuilds of factory standard equipment. There are several designs that have been built from the ground up, but these are rare and are only built on request. The technicians and engineers at Bacchus Heavy Industries are proficient with using both standard and Star League technology. The expert techs can also install Clan technology, but they cannot repair it. Clan technology must be provided by the client before it is installed in any 'Mech. With the ever changing face of the battlefield the design engineers and technicians at Bacchus Heavy Industries have the knowledge to make the most use of some of the newest Clan or IS technology.

The newest series of 'Mechs that are being produced by Bacchus Heavy Industries offer a level of interchangeability that has only been seen on the original trio of 55 ton 'Mechs. This level of interchangeability allows for more efficient use of the floor space at Bacchus Heavy Industries' main production facility on Solaris. Most of the production space here is being used to produce the HellCat and WildCat, which both have their own lines; the new fire-support line of 'Mechs have a pair of production lines; and there is a single production line that can handle special orders or one of the many designs that are on the database.

A new series of 'Mechs are currently in development at Bacchus Heavy Industries. All of these 'Mechs are designed to be an integtral part of a C3 network. The six 'Mechs in the series range from the massive company command 'Mech the Alexander to the relatively dimunitive Smiler. Several of the 'Mechs are simply older designs that have rebuilt using newer technologies and given a newer outer appearance.

Anyone interested in a custom design or just needing a refit can contact the main office at the Solaris City SpacePort.

Very nice armory you got here. An abundance of both fluff, and mechs. I'm personally not a great user or fan of mixed tech, but I do see it's usefullness in the field, and you seem to have executed quite a few good designs with it. Nice.
